Perform as a Lead
Desktop Support Technician at the Department of State. Led a team of 7
Technicians and Provided service to over 5,000 users in a fast paced
environment to ensure mission critical functions are supported by;
· Plan,
coordinate, and direct IT-related activities
· Maintain
the continuity of computer services by providing necessary technical
leadership and project coordination.
· Forecast
equipment and personnel needs for projects and programs related to IT
Desktop Support operations.
· Maintain
technical competencies at all levels of data processing while striving for
enhanced user productivity through new software technology where
applicable, and of policies that more effectively utilize IT resources.
· Review
all network related trouble tickets and respond to customer inquiries
regarding planned and unplanned outages.
· Plan and
implement systems, hardware, software, OS, and application upgrades
· Troubleshooting
and resolving basic level system hardware, software and communications
problems and aid in performing configurations and adjustments to enhance
database file capacity
· User
Support with Opennet and Classnet
· Installing,
diagnosing, repairing, maintaining and upgrading all (Hewett Packard &
Dell) PC hardware and equipment to ensure optimal workstation performance.
· Participate
in reviewing performance logs and monitors system performance
· Maintain
Windows Active Directory 2003 and directory service administration duties
network-wide, including creating users and groups; assigning user and group
rights; setting up shares, volumes, and directories; and monitoring
servers, storage and event logs.
· Cleanup
of customer file share servers to ensure optimal performance
· User
account migration
· Meet
strict government SLA with a 96% or better
· Perform
daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all
hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and
application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as
backups
· Troubleshoot
problem areas (in person, by telephone, or via email) in a timely and
accurate fashion, and provide end-user assistance where required
· Installing
new printers on the printer server as well as reserving Ip’s on DHCP

the new employees on policies and procedures

user manual for new software or process for the customers

as the RSA/FOB Administrator for customer home use and troubleshoot any
connection issues.
